Millet products are not only built to last, they are also easy to maintain. Careful use and regular maintenance will ensure the best results from these products and increase their life expectancy.
If in doubt, always refer to the instructions on the label of your product.
CLIMBING BOOTS AND SHOES

Millet backpacks should be washed by hand with a soft brush or sponge.
Do not put your backpack in the washing or drying machine.

ROPES
The care of a rope is essential to ensure optimum safety during use.
To wash a rope, it is necessary to use clear, warm water (temperature below 30°C) and a non-aggressive detergent (such as liquid Marseille soap or detergent for delicate textiles). If necessary, brush with a soft brush.
Dry in the shade and away from any heat source.
Store your rope in a dry place away from the sun.
SLEEPING BAGS
Air your Millet sleeping bag regularly to restore its freshness and ensure that it is completely dry before storing it.
For sleeping bags that do not contain down, the general washing and drying conditions apply.
For sleeping bags containing down, refer to the section "Products containing down".
DOWN-CONTAINING PRODUCTS
For products containing down (100% or hybrid), machine washing should be done on a gentle programme with a special down detergent or a non-aggressive detergent and accompanied by tennis balls to prevent the down from caking. If there is any detergent left over, run a rinse only programme again. Do not spin the product in the washing machine.
Drying can be done flat in the open air, turning the product regularly to dry it well, or in a tumble dryer on a delicate programme with tennis balls to prevent the down from caking.
CLOTHING
Millet garments should be machine washed at 30°C and tumble dried on a low temperature programme. To ensure optimal washing without degradation of the product, close the velcro, press studs and zips and loosen the elastic cords before putting them in the machine. If you choose to use the dryer for your clothes we recommend that you remove the zip pulls.
CLOTHES WITH WATERPROOF MATERIAL
This is the case for the following materials in particular: Gore-Tex, Polartec Neoshell, Dryedge, Windstopper, Element Shield.
After closing velcro, zips and press studs, wash your product at 30°C with a mild detergent or a special detergent for waterproof materials. If there is any detergent left, run a rinse only programme. Drying can be done in the air or in a tumble dryer at low temperature.
It is possible to use a specific product to re-waterproof your product or to make it water-repellent.
